Work Smarter, Not Harder. Earn More Money. Most people add the term hard worker to their resume and if they are being honest that is a great attribute. However, sometimes it is better to work smarter. Working smarter can make you more efficient, (which give you the ability to service more clients) and reduces stress.
Prioritize: Put every aspect of a project in front of you, step back and look at the big picture. Take a deep breath and put things in order of importance.
Organize: Put all of your supplies and reference material in order so not to waste time looking for them while you on knee-deep in the creative process. You might want to invest in some Copic storage to help with your organization.
Create a Strategy: Develop a plan of attack. Depending on your style, it might be easier to start with the easier items. Sometimes this creates momentum and a work flow. Others might like to tackle the most difficult aspects first. Find the style that works for you for each project. Make sure you are able to adjust your style for different projects. Work on one task at a time and keep the momentum going. Try to avoid switch between projects if possible.
Don’t make impossible goals: Create small obtainable goals and you will start to notice your end goal won’t be that difficult to achieve.
Keep your head: Make sure to take breaks and get rest so your mind is fresh. A fresh mind is more creative and produces the best results.
