Caricature is defined: a picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.
Each artist has their own style exaggerating characteristics more or less than others. Amusement and theme parks are the most popular places to find these artists. However, that is not the only place to find caricatures. They can be found everywhere, logos, billboards, advertisements, websites, t-shirts, newspapers, magazines like, ESPN, Sport Illustrated, Time, Life, SLAM and many, many more. The newest arena caricatures are commonly found is on social media. New and unique versions are appearing as avatars on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and so and so on. You name the place, these big-nosed images have appeared.
And did I forget to mention caricatures are fun? It never fails! Every time I deliver a client’s commission or a idea as a joke to a friend, the first thing I see is a big smile on their face followed by a quote like, “Is that me?!” “Oh my gosh, I love it!”. To be honest, I look forward to seeing those smiles!
Artists have huge challenge to illustrate their subject, exaggerate their prominent features, keep them recognizable while capturing their personality in way that will tickle their funny bone. It is a fine breakable line. Artists can go too far and offend their client by over exaggerating features. It can take years of practice, trail & error and multiple failures to become a good caricature artist.

Jason, thanks for responding. I am interested in your UNC Tar Heels work. The digital prints are great. Do you have any older non-digital works in your catalog that you would be willing to sale? If not, then I will definitely have to purchase some of your digital works soon.
Jacob,
Unfortunately, I don’t have any originals left. They have all been purchased or given away as gifts. Let me know which illustrations you would like to purchase and I can email you a PayPal invoice for payment. Once payment has been received, I’ll ship the prints to the address of your choosing. Thank you and Go Heels!
Sincerely,
Jason McCorkle

What app or website do you use to make these caricatures?
Connor,
I use a Wacom Cintiq Tablet, Adobe Photoshop and Abode Illustrator to create my caricatures digitally by hand. I how this helps. Thank you for your interest in my work.
Sincerely,
Jason
Hi Jason! You’re extremely talented. I love ALL of your caricatures. I was curious about your Ed Cota, Vince Carter and Antawn Jamison as far as if they’re for sale, size of the print and cost. Also, do you have any Tim Tebow with Gators? If not, is that a custom one you’d be willing/interested in doing?
Wonderful views on that!
